Education

Sunday School

Sunday School is available for children, every Sunday morning. Sunday School students are invited to attend the opening part of the 9:30 service; they are then dismissed at appx. 9:50 a.m. to attend their classes. Our dedicated volunteers and staff provide a fun and educational experience for children as they learn about the Bible and God’s love for them.

Our Sunday School program welcomes all children and utilizes a Workshop Rotation Model (WoRM). This program recognizes that children learn through varied methods and allows them to experience God’s word, not just hear it. Each Sunday during a 4-5 week rotation, students visit a different workshop to experience the same story in a unique way. At Trinity, we have five workshop stations: stories and games, arts and crafts, movies, drama, cooking, and computers.  We use age-appropriate, Bible-based materials.

Splash

SPLASH is a special ministry to children from birth to 3 years. Families receive age-appropriate music CDs and monthly Parent Pages Newsletters in the mail, published by Augsburg Fortress.  If you are interested in providing this program to your own children, grandchildren, or others please contact the church office for an application.  If the child is not a member of Trinity we collect a $25.00 fee to offset the cost of this three-year program.

Confirmation Instruction

Confirmation classes for 7th and 8th-grade youth meet with Pastor Kent during the school year.

Day camp will by led by camp counselors from Lutheran Retreats Camps and Conferences (LRCC). They will lead kids in games, music, Bible studies, crafts, and more for a week of faith-focused, community-building activities. The participants will need to bring their own lunch, but the church will provide snacks. This year’s theme is “Break the Mold,” and will explore Jeremiah 18: 5-6 and Romans 12:2. These two verses remind us to break away from the patterns of the world and see God working in our lives. When we do this, we make room for God to mold us into the creations we were meant to be. Enrollment is limited, so be sure to register soon! The registration fee is $25 for one child and $10 for each additional child from the same household (up to a $50 maximum).
